2 Day Workshop: Symbolic Photography
Description: Symbolism has been used throughout different periods of art: Surrealism, the Renaissance, etc. Conceptual photographers often reflect on how an item can add meaning and depth to their photographs by what the item represents. This workshop is a crash course in learning about plants, fruits, animals and many more items that hold certain meaning within the art world. This workshop is 2 full days of learning about symbolism and creating photographs that hold deep meaning. If you wish to heighten your conceptual photography sense, I highly recommend this workshop. Models will be provided for students who wish to use human figures. We will also create prints; students will have a variety of methods to choose from when producing prints. (See other workshops for some of the ways you will be able to produce prints)
