2 Day Mixed Media Workshop

 

Description: This two-day workshop is for individuals that already have photos to work with. Photos can range in content including nature and portraits. Students spend two days learning four techniques. Students will learn how create mixed media photographs and analog techniques. Things that will be covered include the application of photographs/imagery to wood, watercoloring photographs, crafting digital negatives to make cyanotypes, and creating collages that are transformed onto paper. Students should be prepared for workshop by bringing their laptop equipped with Photoshop. If students do not have Photoshop instructor will help them download a trail. If students do not have laptop, arrangements will be made, just make sure to contact instructor. If students are worried about their Photoshop skills or selecting photos for workshop, for a $50 extra fee students may come over the night/day before for one-on-one or small group mentoring on learning basic Photoshop.

Students will leave this workshop with unique objects and new skills to use in their art making.

 

Techniques that will be covered:

 

-Creating watercolor photographs.

-Wood-slice prints.

-Cyanotypes.

-Gel Image transfers.

 

Breakfast and lunch is included.

 

Price: $400 per person.

$250 deposit is required to hold you spot. Full payment must be made by the week before workshop.
